PBS KIDS character Nature Cat to be special guest at 2019 Share A Story

FARGO, N.D., May 30, 2019 – Children and families can develop their literacy and science skills through experimentation, storytelling, music and craft at the annual Share A Story Family Learning Event at Rheault Farm in Fargo. This year, the PBS KIDS character Nature Cat will greet children and pose for photos throughout the day.

The free family event is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is hosted by Prairie Public, Fargo Parks, and United Way of Cass-Clay.

The fun-filled day will include storytellers, activities and the opportunity for kids to ‘share a story’ through drawing, acting, music and make believe, and every child can choose a free book to take home. The steel drum band Poco Fuego will entertain on the Rheault Farm stage, and activities will be provided by the Red River Zoo, Altrusa International of Fargo, FMCT, Concordia Science Academy, the MSUM Physics Club, NDSU GeoSciences, the Little Red Reading Bus, Read Therapy Dogs, and the Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo libraries.
