Carl's Classroom Crates
Empower neurodiverse learners with Prairie Public's free classroom supplies—Carl's Classroom Crates!
PBS KIDS's new show Carl the Collector features the first main character with autism in a PBS KIDS series. In this show, Carl and his friends—both neurodivergent and neurotypical—collaborate, play, and discover what makes each of them unique. Carl the Collector airs Thursday, November 14.
In celebration of Carl’s debut, Prairie Public Education, with generous support from the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction, is excited to offer classroom supplies specifically designed for students on the autism spectrum or with neurodiverse needs to educators in North Dakota.
Our Classroom Crates have been designed with input from the North Dakota Autism Center and pediatric specialists at Sanford Health to be versatile and effective for a variety of classroom or counseling environments. Each themed box includes targeted materials for 5-10 students and is aimed at addressing the unique needs of neurodiverse students in the classroom.
We would like to offer ND teachers, school counselors, or library media specialists the opportunity to select one of the following crates. These crates are completely FREE for your school to keep! In return, we kindly ask that you complete a brief survey about how you are utilizing the resources. Please note, supplies are limited, so act quickly.
