A new season of Prairie Musicians hits the airwaves on January 30, 2025!

Watch on Thursdays at 9pm to see some of the best regional artists perform their original music.

Conor Lee, originally from Fergus Falls, Minnesota, is an active musician, composer and performer with a degree in Jazz Studies from MSUM Moorhead. With broad experience in the music industry, his own music is a complex integration of alternative rock and jazz. The band includes Andrew Nelson, keyboards, Max Johnk, bass, Matthew Tinjum, drums.

Dillon Spurlin

Dillon Spurlin, originally from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, is a classically trained solo-acoustic musician who writes and performs his own unique style of easy listening music. His gentle voice and dynamic range combine to create the complexity of his compositions. The vulnerability in his lyrics provide the listener with a glimpse into Dillon's youth and his curiosity of life and love.

MorningBird, from Hibbing, Minnesota, is a duo who encapsulate an eclectic style of folk Americana music with a hint of gospel and Appalachian influences. The chemistry of Rob Wheeler and Jill Burkes brings an organic feel to their performance. Their songs are edgy, free-spirited, and incorporate an element of nature that is both refreshing and authentic.

Lula is a Minnesota-based singer-songwriter who has accomplished years of classical music training. Her transition into expressive musical freedom has been an journey of passion and soul searching. The result can be found in the heartfelt stories she tells in her music which are full of emotion, empathy, and universal truths.

The Matt Arthur Contraption

Matt Arthur is a southern-Minnesota blind man who learned to sing by listening to gospel records as a child. He writes and records songs that mimic '70s-style folk and country renegade tunes. Matt Arthur and the Contraption include fellow musicians Bill Patten and Faith Eskola who have been adding their influences of old-time rock and roll to the lineup.

Rusty Crayfish Brass Band

The Rusty Crayfish Brass Band is all about having fun and connecting with audiences through their New Orleans-style brass music of the Upper Midwest. The history of the music is what inspired members from the Brainerd, MN area to compose their own original tunes. Their lively, get-up-and-dance performance is a must-see!

Jake Ingamar

Indie-folk musician Jake Ingamar from Fargo, North Dakota, was deeply impacted by a rock and roll concert at the Fargodome at the age of 5, but it wasn't until his teenage years that he began playing guitar and writing music. Today he strives for perfection as he crafts his original tunes through analog and digital recordings for a transparent 3D sound experience.

Max Patzner

Max Patzner from Minot, North Dakota, is a musician who has been writing music, releasing albums, and performing for more than 15 years. His passions for writing and creating art have come together to make all of his dreams come true. Now he travels the region to share his multitude of talents with audiences of all ages. His folksy music is often a reflection of his life on the prairie.
